My singing teacher has this doll that is around 80 years old that she found when she bought her house from this 90 year old Woman. The doll is in mint condition and is one of those dolls that you would see in a horror movie (creepy right?)

ow much do you think it would be worth?

  1. 250 bucks probably

  2. What is the doll made of?  Do the eyes open and close?  Who is the maker?

These are just a FEW of the questions doll collectors need answers to.

I go to a lot of auctions and in the descriptions of the dolls in the advertisements,  a lot of information is given about the doll or dolls.

If it's in mint condition, wonderful!  It must beautiful!!!!

Sorry I wasn't much help, but more information is needed.  Not just for me but for the serious collector to answer your question.    :(

    Good luck!!!!

  3. As a person who sell collections of antique dolls, the first thing you do is to look on the back of the head for the mark, it will have a mold number and the name of the manufacture, or a mark, Bisque dolls were made and as well American factories were turning out composition dolls, And as the other person mention so were the Japanese, mainly because of WWI. Different factories bring different prices. Once you get the mold number and the factory off of the doll then you can use your search engines.

  4. Depends on who made it. How large it is, is it bisque, porcelain, cold cast, fired , glazed, chalk, glass , wooden, original toy manufacture or home made...etc. At least $100 without even seeing it. If it is an old German Steiff, at least $900+ . If it was made in Japan at least double, U.S. made will bring about $500-$1,200+ for a Marx doll. It depends on so many factors.
