Dodge minivans really start to have alot of engine problem about the 150,000 mile range including a bad engine knock. I would not pay more than $2000 for it and that is being nice

you could probably get him down to 35 or 36**. that is alllloott of miles and who knows with a car that old (old in miles, not years, well sort of years it is eight years old) what might be wrong under the hood. if you dont know how to check that stuff out. check out the things you do know how to. tires, condition inside cab etc. if you dont like something tell  him and he'll lower the price to get the sale. you dont need his buisiness, he needs yours.
