SUVs but I love turbos.........

sometimes you make a sacrifice to drive what you love.

life stinks that way.

I never once complained about the gas prices driving my 87 conquest TSI

I knew what I was getting into owning that car.

Current prices do not deter me.  Then again, I have a small car with a 4 cylinder engine and an intermediate sized motorcycle to use for my 9 km ( one way ) work commute.  A tank of gas will last quite a while.

it went too high in my oppinion when it hit the 1.40 mark, only reason the gas went up is all politics. i remember when 911 happened it wasnt one hour later all the gas stations around here jacked up prices from 1.45 to 3.75. afterwards the got busted for price gouging. these oil company owners are sitting by the phone, watching the news, just waiting for a reason to send a phone call to pop those prices up. what do they care, i wouldnt think they have to pay for the gas, hard working people like us are out here trying to make enough overtime just to cover the gas to get to work and back.  the government lets them get away with it cause it brings in revenue from taxes, then tells you they are dealing with opec to lower them. personaly i think its all pethetic, and lets just say i have no respect for those oil company owners who sits on billions of dollars that was made gouging out the pockets of all these honest working people that are scraping just to get to work.

do not own a suv and have no real desire to get one. I do not smoke but do drink alcohol beverages occasionally. I live in NC but my mom lives in NJ. I drive to NJ and back every few weeks to visit. Gas prices are way to high now but I deal with it. That is a worthwhile expense. My mom is in her 80's so I enjoy the times I can be with her.
