There is a lady I know picking blueberries and selling them for $7.50 a pound. Is this a good price? Keep in mind they are fresh picked and with gas the price it is you'd have to drive at least an hour from hear for decent picking.

I have NO idea.

Thx!

  1. That's high for central Ohio in summer. Kroger has two pints for $4.00 this week. A pint is 3/4 lb, so that's 1 1/2 lbs for $4.00, vs 1 lb for $7.00.

But like you said, you live in Canada, and gas is expensive, and you have a late growing season. I'm sure the lady would enjoy your money, and you would enjoy a summer treat filled with antioxidants.

When I would pick blueberries for my mom, she used to make a delicious blueberry buckle. See recipe below.

  2. no not good most blueberries are fresh anyway.

You can buy two pints for five bucks in fla.

The blueberry festival in michigan is going on the weekend of Aug 9th..

  3. In Texas, you can buy the pints for about $2.50 .... So, $7.50 is probably a very good price.  BUT, keep in mind that they go bad quickly, so if you aren't using up that full pound in a few days, then you're wasting your money.........

  4. try them

    might be well worth it

they are like 4-5.00 for a pint in the supermarkets and they arent always ripe

  5. I would say so here in IL they sale blueberries in this tiny pint box for 5.oo dollars.
