A general answer will be fine, maybe what type of social worker you are, how much school you took, and where, and how much did it cost. Thanks.

  1. I am a LBSW and I currently work with juvenile offenders.

I went to school for four years at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas. The first two years of my program were spent getting the general requirements out of the way. The last two years of my college education were spent taking social work classes only. The spring semester of my senior year was spent in the field doing an internship. We had to complete 450 hours which is about normal for a social work internship.

The cost of my degree was roughly $13,500 with out the cost of books or living added in. It also cost around $300.00 to apply to take the licensing test.

  2. Well it depends on where you go to college for your undergrad (4 years) and where you go for your grad degree (another 2 years).  Schools can be from 3,000 a  year to 45,000 a year depending on the school.
