Depends where she is. But the pound is one of the strongest currency in the world so generally you could definitely buy quite a bit with it.

Today's rate is 2.14 Australian Dollars to the GBP, so $42.80, but say $40 after exchange costs.

A reasonable meal for one, depending where you go.  

We had a three course meal the other day at a Silver Service restaurant near Brisbane for $35 a head. Main course was a nice Beef Wellington.  Drinks were extra of course.

Its worrth AUD$42.80. For this you would get quite a nice meal in a fairly good restaurant.
