  1. Normally for a top level market such as that, stations are usually bought in clusters not individual stations

But for an example. a small non-commercial (meaning no revenue to pay the bills thru advertising) sold for $5 Million and this was for a station that is not as fully powered as others (KXOT)

So my guess is about $10-$15 Million for a full power station with advertising revenue

  2. The previous answer could be a little confusing:

Companies usually own clusters of stations in a market (meaning the company has aquired stations throughout it's time in that city) so in most cases, current purchases/sales are for clusters but that doesn't mean every station is owned by Cumulus, Clear Channel, etc. There are certainly still plenty of singular-owned stations or AM/FM combo's in the country and some companies do sell one or two stations from their cluster depending on the conditions.

Seattle is #14 in radio market size. Any commercial radio station there will not be cheap and the value of those stations depends on ratings/ad revenue, property/equipment value, etc

It would be impossible to tell you exactly how much a station would sell for today without any details about it, however as recently as 2005, an AM station in that market sold for around 20 million. Today that same station would probably be 22 million+ under the same buying conditions.
