  1. my wife gave birth, normal delivery,  to a healthy baby boy 5 months ago in a private hospital.    nowadays, you'll spend php30k-40k for normal delivery and Php 80k-100k for c/s.     we paid php15k for hospital bill as the professional fees from ob, anest, and pedia were free because they're all our friends in related medicines.

i don't know how much it would cost in a  public hospital  but i heard it ranges from php 1k-5k only.

  2. you'll buy a baby? babies are never sold.....they're cared/

  3. Have at least 100,000 pesos in case you need to go for Ceasarian delivery.  It costs about half for normal delivery.

  4. filipinos won't charge you,it free,to carry their child.

  5. if u dont have insurance, and u want to deliver in a private hospital, A LOT OF MONEY. i gave birth 7 years ago sans insurance in a private hospital and it cost us about 10,000 php, half of w/c went to the OB doc. (normal delivery, no anesthesia, except for the local one they did for the episiorrhapy/repair and i only stayed at the hospital for a grand total of 1 night).imagine what it would be now. i'd say prepare 20,000. at least.

add on: if u have philhealth, (insurance) u'd probably shave off 5k in ur bill, this is just a guess. and if u opt to deliver in a public hospital, u wont pay as much. i wouldnt say its free because it wont be. i'd say for a public hosp delivery prepare at least 2-3k, for medicines/IV.

  6. Your question is worded wrong.  Thats why you got those answers you don't like.  But I'm an American so I know what your asking.  Relax.  Filipinos don't have a system like USA involving insurance.  You pay as you go.  The approximate cost to have a baby in Philippines is about 5000-15000 pesos for a normal delivery.  Few hundred dollars at most. That would be at a private hospital with as good or better care than you would find at any US hospital. But, if you come in there with THAT attitude you might end up having it by yourself so, lighten up.

  7. Joe is right about the costs and your attitude.  So what if some answerers can't understand simple english, which really means slang-filled 'americanized' english?  do you speak another language fluently other than english? we do.

  8. In the Philippines, it can cost from 250 pesos or $4.00 if it is done by the neighbor "hilot". Some remote barrios still have "hilots", reportedly safe for years. Hilots are somehow non-existent nowadays because of many maternity clinics and hospitals, and those hilots was ordered by the law to be just assistans to the doctors who will be called in houses.

Anyway, I guess you don't need that answer, but it's the cheapest you can get.

The most expensive probably will be at St. Luke's Hospital (American Standard, One of the World's best) it could be as much as 50,000 pesos or more for normal delivery, it's like staying in some 5 star hotel room anyway.

But well, in regular/common private hospitals which is not that bad and will guarantee proper care for you and your baby will cost around 10,000-20,000 in pesos.

Makati Medical Hospital, Medical City is one of those hospitals that will not cost you plenty of money. Consider St. Luke's too although it's kinda expensive.

If you live outside the province, chose the nearest private hospital and avoid public hospital as much as possible. Public hospitals aregood only if you really have no choice and willing to tolerate the annoyance of those public hospitals doctors and nurses (the most unfriendly people).

Public hospitas have gratis,pr normal delivery maybe will cause you some 2,000 pesos or less.

In conclusion, Philippine hospitals are good place to deliver your baby. I might deliver mine here.
