  1. In my state a pickpocketing (no violence just taking something from a persons pocket or purse while they are in possession of it) is a class c felony called theft from person. Class c is the lowest felony with a max of 3 years in the penn.

If the bad guy has a good record he will be charged (in my jurisdiction, a big city) with misdemeanor theft (max not more than one year in the county jail). If the stolen item was worth $500 or more it is a higher felony.

A previous theft type conviction makes it an automatic felony charge.

  2. depends on numerous factors.  What is the legal classification for being a pick pocket where you were caught being a dumbass?  How many times were you caught being a dumbass?  is it a felony or a misdemeanor where you were caught being a dumbass?

lots of factors...don't drop the soap!

  3. The answer depends on what was stolen (i.e. cash value).  Could be any of the three, misd., GM, or felony.

But to answer the question exactly, none.  Jails are pre-sentencing facilities only.  You don't get sentenced to a jail, but to a workhouse or prison.

  4. This is fairly serious since it is actually a robbery. Taking something by force from another person is generally robbery whether it is a wallet or ring or pretty much any property you were in possession of at the time.

  5. iT DEPENDS IF YOUR BLACK FORGET ABOUT IT WE STILL HAVE NO RIGHTS. IF YOUR WHITE YOU GET A SLAP ON THWE WRIST.
