Question:

How much juice can I squeeze from an average lemon, lime and orange?

I love the Mexican seafood dish Campenchana. It calls for several freshly squeezed lemons, limes, and oranges. However, I wish to use the bottled concentrates instead. Since the recipe listed these ingredients as individual fruits, I need to know how many tablespoons can I get from squeezing the average fruit.

  1. If you cut your citrus in half and then heat it in container in microwave, you will get at least twice as much juice as cold fruit. Be careful when squeezing not to burn yourself! Use fresh juice, the results will be so much better. Good luck.

  2. Well its not that simple, some fruits don't have a lot of juice, or some have to much. But most of an average Fruit u can get about half of a laddle(srry no measures i could think of) and a tip hold the half of the lemon towards you so u dont get the seeds into the bowl!! LOLZ

  3. Equivalents: One lemon yields about 2-3 tablespoons of lemon juice.

One lime yields about 2 tablespoons lime juice.

1 orange equals about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of juice.

    Hope that helps!
