Don't know if you have heard anything about "Peak oil" but I'm wondering how much land a person needs to feed themselves? What if you don't have artificial fertilizers? I'm from the UK where it is very crowded as 60 million of us have to live on 60 million acres!

  1. well then an aker for each one

  2. If he is like John Prescott  - acres upon acres

  3. There is not an easy answer. It all depends on the eating habits of the population. Vegetarians need much less land to support them than heavy meateaters. Probably the greatest argument to be made for vegetarianism (of which I am not) is the fact that a much larger population can be sustained with less land used for agricultural purposes.

If the world is starving, let nobody eat beef. Ultimately, that may be the solution.
