  1. about 2 acres at the LEAST

and if they are small ponies you don't want TOO much acreage with grass because foudering might become an issue

  2. i would say 1 acre is good enough, 2 acres is plenty.

  3. That totally depends on where you live.  When I lived in the high desert of Wyoming we needed 20-25 acres PER HORSE.  In Wisconsin, we had 3 horses on 5 acres and still had too much grass and ended up having to mow.  People will tell you and acre per horse is the general rule but that's very subjective.  If I had an acre per horse, my property would be dirt.  There wouldn't be any grass left.

  4. 2 or 2 and a half will be just fine for them.

  5. It depends on where you live. Different places have different laws. In my part of NY it's 1 acre a horse. There's one state (I can't remember which) where you need 50 acres a horse because of the sparse grass.

  6. 1 acre per horse but more would be better

  7. 2 and 1/2 acres should be fine.

  8. about 5 acres
