How much lime do I use in a 10 X 10 horse stall?

I was told 1 whole bag of lime for a 10 x 10 stall. I put 3 bags of shavings on top of it, and it's a terrible dust ball in there! I'm worried about my horse, who is confined to the stall for 3 weeks! Is the horse in danger?
