Maximum 1 liter* in your carry-on.  These liquids and gels must fit into a 1 liter clear plastic zip-style bag, and no individual item in this bag can be in a container larger than 100 ml**.  You can not, for example, have a 300ml shampoo bottle with only 50ml remaining -- that won't work.  The container itself can not be over 100 ml, and all must fit into the clear 1 liter bag and easily close.

    *1 liter or 1 quart bag is o.k.

    **100 ml or 3.3 fluid ounces (fl. oz.) is ok

    As far as checked baggage, you can take more liquid and gel there.  Each piece of checked baggage is scanned and can be opened for further examination.
