I know for sure that he doesn't get the dietary amount of iodine that he should and I don't want to overdo it, so I'd like to know what the safe amount is. 4 drops is safe for adults, but how much for a child? My friend said that it makes people grow tall, but I could care less about that.

  1. You don't have any iodized salt?

  2. Just give them some sea weed sheets; nori seaweed.  Kids love it.  It's like paper, rips like paper, but they can eat it too without mama getting angry at them.

Liquid kelp -- I've never heard of it.  What's wrong with just eating sea weed.  My kids love it and to snack on it and in soups etc.

  3. You need to consult your child's pediatrician. From what I have found online, I have found it's main use in fertilizers, and poisons, not really for human consumption. But some sites say, it is best to do what I mentioned at the beginning of this, because it is not normal to give to any human that I know.
