Hi,

I sent my I-485 application to TSC center last year in September, 2007. Two months later, I had my fingerprint processed. Anyone knows how much longer approximately will my application get processed? Thanks

  1. It can range from 3 months to 2 years. Biometrics or fingerprinting is normally fast but after that, the waiting period varies. If your case were lucky enough to be transferred to California Service Center after biometrics there's a high probability that you may not undergo interview and be approved right away.Otherwise, your papers will be sent to the service center that covers you and they will send you a letter informing you of your interview date. You may want to undergo Infopass if you want to know what is happening to your case. You can visit www.uscis.gov for more info.

  2. You can check approximate processing time of your local branch office at this link.
