I was wondering about some new games coming out next year, and wondered if they will only be for PS3. Sims 3 for example, among others. Thanks.

  1. until 2009 then its over for ps2

  2. for this year and next year then it will slow down

  3. i imagen  they will stop makeing them about july next year as they still have a lot of new games comeing out for it so far and some that are still in development , as long as peaple are makeing the games sony isent going to ditch it as many company still dont have the software yet to make games for the ps3

  4. maybe 6 more months. the only games i know that are coming to ps2 are the force unleashed and mercs 2

  5. well the PS2 will continue to sell until its not selling as much

unless Sony just wants to focus on the PS3, but rite now we dont know yet

    maybe 2010

  6. According to www.ign.com the last PS2 game'll be released in 2009.

  7. The Playstation 2 will have a 10 year lifecycle and the PS2 has about 2 years to go before it's discontinued for good, and so I think that there will be PS2 games still being release up until Late 2009 - Early 2010.

The amount of PS2 games being released have already slowed down a lot though.

  8. Sony announced at this years E3 that over 130 games would come out for PS2 in the next year.

  9. Right now, the stream of PS2 games is dwindling, and as far as Sims games, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't do a PS2 version. Just upgrade - it's worth the cash.

  10. There's a 130 games coming to the PS2 next year. Probably a few more in 2010.

3rd party developers will probably continue to make games for the PS2 for quite a while.

If you do decide to upgrade I suggest going with a 360 though. All the great exclusives are going to them this generation.

  11. till they get so much more better things so they would forget about ps2 and stop then!♥
