  1. It depends on the individual airline. I'd check the website for the airline I'm travelling on

  3. it's up to the airline but most are one carry and one check. the other thing to watch is weight allowance per bag. also, some airlines it's cheaper to have a second bag than to go over weight on the first. and if you travel with kids strollers don't count as luggage if you check them at the gate but car seats do. it's all up to the airline. good luck.

    Most airlines allow two free checked bags in economy class for international flights. There is also usually a size and weight limit of 50 lbs. per bag and 62 linear inches per bag (length plus width plus depth).  However, you'll have to call your airline to be certain.

  5. It all depends on the airlines you're flying with as they have different rules and different charges for over weight luggages. International flights normally allows you to bring around 50 lbs of luggage (it used to be 70lbs per person!).
