  1. When it says proprietary blend, it could be anything.  I don't know why companies do that...it's deceiving.

Try a better product...one that tells you the amount of ingredients, or even one that lists ingredients without proprietary blend (that way, the ingredients are listed in order from most to least).

With Xango juice, it could be more than all the other juices, or so little it would make no difference.

EDIT: better yet, phone the company and ask them.  If they won't tell you, buy another product.

  2. Xango mangosteen juice:

Ingredients: Garcinia mangostana purée from the whole fruit, apple juice, pear juice, grape juice, pear purée, blueberry juice, raspberry juice, strawberry juice, cranberry juice, cherry juice, citric acid, natural flavor, pectin, xanthan gum.

may give a slight variation on the nutritional composition, and some give a typical serving as 30-90ml, but that would be expensive and you should get enough benefits from the 30ml dosage.

So for Xango, mangosteen is the main ingredient and this is from the whole fruit, thus giving the maximal anti-oxidant potential. But if you want to know the actual percentage you would have to contact the company that produce it...their customer services department should be able to help you.

  3. it's mainly mangosteen, the whole thing - skin, pericarp, and the edible part.  the other fruits are in there to offset the bitterness of the mangosteen rind, but i would think that if the edible part of the mangosteen is so delicious, that would do the trick instead of adding so many fruit juices.

  4. The ingredients are listed from most to least, and the mangosteen fruit is listed as number one.

The other juices are added to give it a great taste.  XanGo uses the whole fruit of the mangosteen including the rind which is very bitter but most of the health benefits are in the rind.  But the mangosteen is the first ingredient listed on the label.
