Question:

How much marijuana smoking is too much?

I know some people who smoke two or three times a day (not medical users either.) But they're still functioning at their jobs and in school. I smoke too, but not near as often as these folks do.

Is it too much even though they're still functioning?

For that matter, how often is too often, and how much is too much?

(I don't know if I have this question in the right category or not, but thought I'd ask anyhow.)

  1. It will not harm you. If you can function at a normal level while "high". Statistics have proven time and time again that weed is better for you than tobacco, though for some twisted reason tobacco is legal. No one has ever died from it.

So I would venture to guess, you are the one who knows your limits.

  2. It is impossible to smoke too much weed. No one has ever overdosed on it.

If it isn't affecting your life at all, obviously it's fine.

  3. There has never been a case documented where someone overdosed or died from smoking too much pot. But if pot is an obsession for a person and they feel they have to have it, they could be addicted. So if you don't want to feel dependent on it, that might be too much. But if you feel like you can be successful at work and school with that much, I don't think it's too much.

  4. I guess if it becomes a habit that interferes with anything that they would normally do.  Also that would cost a sh*t load of money to smoke that much so unless they're loaded they should cut back.

  5. Amber is right.  I would also add that you still have to be responsible for your actions and take accountability for your decisions.  Think of it like masturbating.  Some people don't m********e and their bodies slow their reproductive processes.  Some people m********e so much they injure themselves.  Some people find partners and don't need to m********e.  Ok, the point is that you need to figure out what your body can handle by your self in a safe way. Me personally, if its not mine, I could smoke a lot.  If its mine about a quarter a day, if I have the funds.

  6. there is never too much

  7. i recon that is to much

it might not effect them now but it

    deffently will later in life

its okay to smoke every once in a while

maybe 3-4 times a week. but not everyday

    : )

  8. well, i think that as long as they are still able to function and not s***w up their relationships or anything else in their lives, like you said they were,  they're okay. i know really intellectual people who smoke and have the most productive, satisfying lives, but ive also met some people dont know how to handle and manage their lives and all they do is smoke and sit around. so i think it depends on the person/situation.

  9. It all depends on one's personal limit.  It becomes too much when you can't function enough to do anything other than smoking weed and laying around.  If you can smoke that much in a day and still be able to accomplish everything you need to do, then there's not really a problem.

And don't let anyone tell you that weed will kill you or really affect you or blah blah blah.

    It won't. =/

  10. Right now it doesn't sound like a problem, but in the long run that's why it is one. They think they're fine smoking a few times a day, but eventually, at least in several different situations i've seen, they slowly let it become more important than small things, and later, more important than everything. Not only that, they get involved with more serious, more dangerous drugs because they dont get the same high as they use to from weed. I've lost a few great friends because of this, if i were you would say sometime before it's too late, and hopefully they won't be stubborn. Everyone has their different opinions, in mine, i think the occasional smoking, as in once every few months isn't too harmful, when the person stil has the capability of refusing it when it's offered to them.

  11. Excuse I would like to adress the ppl who answered before me before i give you my answer  no marijuana does not negatively affect you in any way at all there is scientific proof of that and all your doing is making yourself sound completely ignorant seriously if you dont know anything  about marijuana if your saying that and this girl is looking for a legit answer and your just misinforming her so unless you actually know what you are talking about dont say anything ok ....ok now to answer your question ive been smoking for 10 years now  and the answer is you really cant smoke too much me and my room mate will go thru a pound of marijuana in a week  thats 8 ounces a week by myself  and if you dont know mesurements a joint is usually 1 gram there are 28 grams in an ounce   i on average smoke about 35-40 joints a day  and i function completely normal  luckily i am a pro skateboarder and dont actually have a "real" job  which i do make a good bit of money. but yes if you smoke a lot it make you unmotivated big time but really there are no negative medical effects of marijuana actually marijuana is used to cure and supress alot of medical issues  if you need any more information on marijuana you can message me or visit www.norml.org  im glad i can help and give you a correct answer to your question

  12. My theory for cannabis is the same for everything you find enjoyable. I smoke a LOT of weed, way more than two or three times a day, and I still function the same as I did before I started smoking weed. To me, there is no "smoking too much" until it starts to affect your lifestyle in a negative manner. If you maintain a healthy lifestyle, such has holding a steady job, providing for your family, and doing everyday good deeds, then there really isn't a problem. When you start smoking so much however that it starts to become a priority and you decide to smoke a joint instead of picking up your little sister, then you have a problem. If you think you're smoking too much, just stop for a second and think about your surroundings and what your body is telling you. Do you feel okay with how you're living? Are you doing something good with your life? If you still are and can still function without smoking, then you're doing fine. If you still feel bad about it, then think about what's making you feel bad. If it's because of the cost of weed, then try reducing how much you buy and use it sparingly. If you feel like you're getting unhealthy, try working out before you smoke a blunt. That way you're rewarding yourself rather than just letting yourself have it without earning it.
