  1. It all depends on the motherboard.

*most* systems that run Pentium 4, Core2 duo, AMD 64 will handle at LEAST 4GB of ram.

You could try the "online memory scanner" at http://www.crucial.com  It can determine the MB model in some cases and tell you

  2. if you are a gamer than also consider the processer that is a important part ram or memory is internal memory it usually can not be turned up or down but it can be upgarded by removing it

  3. This will tell you.

  4. It depends on what type of system you have and what is the max amount of Ram your board can hold. If your a gamer you gonna want the most you could get with a good Video card. If you just surfing the internet 2gigs of ram DDR2 will do the job.

  5. You forgot to mention what computer you have.

It depends on how many memory bays you've got and what motherboard you have.  Check the manufacturer's website or your instruction manual.

  6. 2gb is good for everyday task and gaming

  7. It would depend on your MB and such, what type of computer ad specs do you have now?

  8. check the manual....it will tell you..or google your info..

  9. Although 2 GB are enough, it only depends  from your motherboard.

It depends how many slots for ram cards you have available in your motherboard and how much ram can each slot take
