I am having a party, 50 adults. I am going to roll the meat and put it on platters, with the cheese etc... Plan on getting ham, turkey, roast beef, etc.... How many pounds of meat & cheese do you think I should buy. I normall have the sandwiches made, but thought I could cut my cost in half this way.... Thanks for your help!

  1. 2 lbs of everything should do it

  2. 4 lbs. of meat & 2.5 lbs. of cheese

    Mix  the varieties.

Add a fruit and veggie tray for the vegetarians.

Make sure meat and cheese is thinly sliced. "deli" style.

  3. If 50 people each made a 4 oz. sandwich, then you would need about 18.75 lbs of meat and cheese combined.  However, some will eat less, some more, and some not at all. If I were throwing the party, I would contact a deli or catering company for a second opinion about how much meat and cheese is needed.  You also need way less cheese than meat.

I put together an open house during the holidays, and we had about 60 people in and out all day.  I ordered about 15 pounds of sliced meats and cheese, and I also had salads, two spiral sliced hams, and cheesy mashed potatoes, and it was all gone.  Good luck to you!

  4. 12 1/2 pounds of meat

    3 lbs  of cheese

  5. Figure about a quarter pound of meat per person for average eaters. I would think a bit less for the cheese. Line a plate with leafy green lettuce leaves and roll into wide rolls. Offer breads, rolls and all the trimmings nearby such as mustard, mayo, tomato, thinly sliced red onion, as well as some sliced pickles and perhaps salads or chips and your set . Happy party

  6. well if you factor in the amount of people times the ham turkey and roast beef you need approximately 57lbs of meat/ cheese (i prefer guta) OH YEAA

  7. 2 lbs of each
