  1. This one is real easy. Get a hold of Kingston. They will tell you the exact ram you need and how much your system can handle all from the type and model of your computer.

Kingston Technology USA Sales Support - End User 1 (800) 835-6575

  2. Try using the memory scanner tool at http://www.crucial.com

It tell you how much memory you have and whats the maximum you can support.

  3. Go to the HP Compaq web site and look up your model number.  It will list what memory and how much it will take.

  4. Memory 512MB (2x256MB) PC2700 333MHz DDR SDRAM

  5. you can add another 512 mb stick, each motherboard has a limit of how much ram it can support, not sure how much this supports, but if u add another 512mb stick u get 1gb of ram, it will be faster, especially since its more ram and it'll be in dual channel mode (if supported)

  6. each slot will handle 1GB. Your computer will not support dual channel memory though.  Any time you have a question about any computer, look it up on google, I am in IT field and no matter what anyone tells you, that is where most all questions are answered

  7. IF YOU HAVE TWO MEMORY SLOTS,GO WITH TWO 1GB STICKS.YOU DIDNT SPECIFY WHICH SYSTEM YOU ARE RUNNING SO IM ASSUMING ITS XP.THATS MORE THAN PLENTY.JUST MAKE SHURE THAT THE NEW MEMORY IS COMPATABLE WITH YOUR MOTHERBOARD.
