  1. Mammary glands, like other physiologic systems, tend to work on a feedback system, so the more that's needed the more that's produced.


  2. it varies from person to person.  some women don't produce a lot of milk and some do.  it also relates to supply and demand.  the more the infant nurses the more a mother produces.  

    from personal experience... 237 mls per breast..at 6 weeks.

  3. okay a mother holds an average of 900ml of milk so that means thre is an average of 450ml of milk in each breast. Approximately 100ml per feed is produced and necessary for mothers since there feed their child 6-7 times.
