  1. A pint (or 600ml) is the maximum amount to give to your 13 month old. The minimum amount they should be getting is 12 oz (or 350ml). Include milk used in food as part of daily allowance.

I have been giving my daughter Aptamil Growing up milk which comes in 500ml bottles (sold in packs of four). I offer her 200ml in a beaker with breakfast and 200ml in a beaker with tea, then 100ml in a beaker last thing before bed.

  2. 16 oz

  3. Maybe just over pint usually bottle in morning and evening this still should be ok if you go over my little one used to love tea and i made it milky as well as his cereal it wont harm your child as it is good calcium to strengthen the bones

  4. That's what I've been told but there's no way I can get my 13 month old to drink that much now. Remember the milk in cereal also counts towards that pint and if you're still having difficulty try yoghurts to top up their calcium intake.

  5. every child is different!  if you are concerned about your child not getting enough milk, my doctor told me to go ahead and put some choc. syrup in the milk.  at least they are getting there milk! if it is ReALLY concerning you that he/she is not getting enough calcium talk to your doctor.  have a test ran for your childs calcium.  my children are vegetarians and take daily vitamins to suppliment.  this is always an option if you cant get your little person to take in enough milk.

if you think your child is getting to much, use your best judgement.  watch his/her weight.  remember the fat in milk helps there brain develop until they are two!  i personally wouldnt worry about my child drinking too much milk, a little baby fat wont hurt!

    good luck
