  1. Average is $40,000/year. I have a family of 7 and we make about $50,000 and live comfortably. $60,000 for one person is a pretty good living. Of course $80,000 would be even better!

  2. well dude more money is best 80 000

  3. My husband makes about $50,000 a year in the military and I make about $10,000 working part time and we have a very comfortable life.

We have a house, three cars, two kids, a dog, enjoy going shopping and out to eat.

When I was working full time we had everything listed above plus a boat and blew a lot more money on random c**p. I'm very happy with our life overall. I can't complain!

  4. I make 1,500,000 and its not enough

  5. You have to factor in cost of living (depends where you live), whether or not you are single, married, etc..  I make about 50,000 and that is enough for me.  I don't need a new car but I do like to travel.

  6. 80 would be the best. 60 isnt bad...

  7. Your question is way too subjective and depends on too many factors.

If you have ten kids and live in L.A., the amount you need is very different than if you are single and live in Iowa.

We also have no idea of what your standard of "good" is.

  8. what you think is a good living might

not be what i think .

the amount you need to earn that is considered "a good living" depesnd on the indivdual and what they need to be comfortable in life.

  9. i'm not going to say how much is a good living. it depends on your lifestyle.

but one thing to consider is where you live. i made 90,000 a year in arizona (phoenix) and then took a job in wisconsin that paid less, 83,000 but with the difference in housing and living costs, i'm a lot further ahead despite the fact my paycheck says i make less.

the best advice i ever recieved was find something you like, put yourself into it 100 percent, and the money will follow.

  10. The more money you earn the better cause the price of everything just keeps going up and up.

  11. My definition of good living has nothing to do with houses or cars.

The people around me and how much I enjoy  my life.

  12. It really depends on what state you live in.

In CA, if you make 60k, you'll prob never own a home. You prob need more like $225k gross income to buy a home in $500k+ CA and need 5-20% down.

In other states that have no coast, you could earn $50K a year and own a home.

In non coastal states, if you can pull $75-80+K a year you are prob doping well.
