  1. Preventing you from getting salemonella poisoning...have you heard the news?


  2. They are most likely losing money overall from having to dump inventory, they are certainly not saving any money.

  3. I work with food and they are saving the customer's health who cares that a you don't have a tomato on your sandwich that is going to make you sick or possibly die.  Tomato's are such a low cost item that I believe that they are not loosing any money.

  4. They're not saving any money right now because they had to dump tomatoes they already bought. Maybe if it goes on long enough, they'll save a little from not buying them. But they may lose sales.

  5. Millions in litigation fees.

  6. I dunno, but probably a boatload of law suites and health department checks! :D

  7. We have tomatoes again, but I did not save any money.  I had to throw out 200lbs of tomatoes.
