Question:

How much money can I get for my car?

Its a 1985 Chrysler Fifth Avenue. Its obviously worn, but gets me from A to B. It would need a new paint job and the insides would need just a little tlc, which i could probably handle. MPG is not pretty, but the car itself is pretty fashionable. It is sort of a pimp-meets-mafia style. Any ideas on what I can legit sell it for/ any takers?

  1. kelly-blue says its worth $1990 sell it for 2500, it took me hours researching for this plz give me best answer

  2. depends on the miles you've put on it.

Kellybluebook.com is okay, but won't go back to 1985.

and NADAguides.com low retail is $1500...of course with it needing paint and some inside work you won't get $1500 out of it.

Here's a link for the details in value: http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?L...

  3. One thing's for sure. You will get more money from Private Party sale than Dealer. Its not what KBB or any other guides think you can get. Its what people are willing to pay. A desperate person may pay higher amount than those who can go to a dealer. If you ran a carfax on the car and showed it as proof of clean title, that might help.

Point is be realistic. You don't want to put in money. So don't expect a high value. Also add the fact that Market opinion on Chrysler is fairly low. Be realistic don't turn down any offer without giving it a thought.

  4. Try http://www.kbb.com/
