OK. I am still studying, but say if I have dual Masters degrees in Chemical Engineering and Business Administration how much money can I make in each of those fields. I have no experience though as of now, I've been told that in Dubai they value experience the most. Does it help if I arrive in Dubai with 2-3 years of experience from US? Is it legal in Dubai to take up two jobs simultaneously?

  1. first off...two jobs at once that both require a Masters degree?  Good luck with that...my job that requires one (Mechanical engineering related) is quite enough, but if you can work 80 hours a week in two different jobs go for it.  Experience in engineering is key, as no matter how much school you have there is no subsitute for getting into the real thing, i have learned more in 1 year on the job than in all of college.  So yea...get some experience and if you want to go over there then go ahead.

  2. It is illegal in the UAE to take two jobs simultaneously because your are suppose to work for one sponsor/company only.

In your field you will have great chances to land a good paid job in Dubai, especially having some experience. Try to land a job  with any American company working in the UAE and you'll be good to go. Many companies require experience, but most American companies also require a security check up which other Nationalities do not meet.

Get experience in the USA and then look for a suitable job. The basic salary might be the same, but it's taxfree and mostly housing and transportation are paid.

All the best and I hope that the giving link was helpful for your cousin.

Why not thinking about Abut Dhabi?
