How much money can you get for a scrap washer/or dryer?

How much have you gotten paid for one of them, and do they classify as aluminum or just scrap steel?

MOst of the time you have to pay to get rid of them. Unless tyou are willing to break it down into components.

Back when I worked in the scrap yard, scrap iron went for a penny a pound.

In my municipality, you have to pay $10 to have it hauled off. It is classified as "white goods", very hard to recycle. There isn't much if any aluminum and the steel is hard to separate from the rest of the junk. The most valuable part might be the copper in the motor. Remove that and it might be worth a few cents.

It is listed only as scrap steel, You need volume to make a profit selling scrap steel.
