  1. It depends on the advertising program you will use

If you use a banner advertising program that pays via cost per impression, the higher the traffic of the site, the higher your income. CPM is cost per impression and you are paid the CPM amount per thousand

For example, 500,000 pageviews and you will get paid $5 per CPM, that means income is:

    500,000 / 1,000 x 5 = $2,500 per day

BUT -- if you are using contextual advertising programs that pay every time a user clicks or CPC (cost per click), it depends on the responsiveness of your visitors to ads. You can earn anywhere from a measly $50 to $5,000 per day.

You are just about to start a site. To get 500,000 PER DAY, that takes a lot of work -- and maybe a lot of time -- before you can reach that level. Unless you market aggressively (and I don't mean just merely doing link exchanges but well thought out viral campaigns).

Advertising programs know how much your traffic is because you will put their codes on your website. So they can track exactly how many impressions they've served and how many clicks have been generated

Join an advertising network. Advertising networks are organizations that aggregate Web sites that offer advertising space, and sell banner ads (and other advertising options) across them. Traffic requirement is often a minimum of 5,000 monthly impressions, although many do not accept sites hosted by free page services.

  2. wow that is a lot of hits a day , adverting companies will generally look after physical adverts rather than where the advert is placed, although some do both. A lot of companies would see your site as an opportunity to reach their target market by advertising on your site, try contacting a media buyer , try media com, they are worth a start . I work in Marketing  and our IT/ advertising agency people track how many people view your site by embedding tags on your your site... best speak to an IT guru about this, but it is essential to know where people are going so you can optimize your site... hope this helps...
