  1. The caddy usually gets 5%, or 10% if his player wins.  I think Williams is on a slightly different (and confidential) contract, but he would get about $40K if the normal 5% applied.

  2. He made more than you or I probably will all year.

  3. Unless you know what the contract between them says no one can say with any certainty. And I'm fairly certain that no one here knows what the contract between them says.

  4. I am a tour caddy and the pay scale varies from player to player.  Included are the two most used scales.  Caddies receive a salary plus a percentage of the winnings.  You receive that salary even if your player misses the cut, that runs at about $1,000.00 minimum a week for a PGA tour caddy.  On top of the salary you then get a percentage of the winnings either 5 7 10,  or 7 10.   What this means is you get a minimum of 5% of any winnings, 7% if your player finishes in the top 10, and 10% if your player wins the tournament.  The other is, 7% minimum of any of the winnings and 10% percent for a win.  I am sure there are other individual agreements made but these are the two most common ones on tour.  So exactly what Steve and Tigers arrangement is, no one I have talked to really knows.  There arrangement could be something totally different.

  5. Caddies often get 10% of the players's purse. Tiger made $810 000 at the 2008 Masters. He might have given Steve a little bonus so Steve might have made around $85 000.

  6. idk

  7. Generally a caddy makes 10% of the winnings for the tournament.  So judging by the fact that Tiger made $810,000 at the Masters, it is a safe bet that Steve made at least $81.000.  But I also think Steve makes more than 10% over the course of the year from Tiger.

Wow, a thumbs down for a fairly accurate response.  Tough crowd!

  8. No one but Steve Williams will know for sure and I don't believe he will be telling. Tiger isn't in the mood to discuss trivia with his knee surgery coming up and the rest are making serious guesses for naught.

  9. I read an article, I think on espn, that Williams gets 10%. So around $80,000 is probably a good number.
