How much money do I need to enter the UK on a working holiday permit?

Im travelling to the UK early next year for a working holiday. Im about to apply for a working holiday visa and Ive got an offer of a job over there.

But, I understand that I need to be able to show to the immigration officers on arrival that I have sufficient funds to support myself or buy a plane ticket home, should the job not work out, or something.

Could someone please tell me roughly how much money Ill need to be able to show them I have, to prove I have sufficient funds for entry?

Many Thanks!

  1. When you apply for your UK working holidaymaker visa, you will need to provide your personal details like bank accounts, savings, passport numbers, proof of credential ie trades/skills etc also you will need to apply online once thats complete you need to get your biometrics test appointment sorted (finger prints&photo taken for security purposes) Once that all complete you will need to send all that information to the British High Commission in Canberra ACT, along will the relevant fee which is around $470 plus $15 to return your passport with relevant working visa attached. Although you may need a diffferent visa or no visa at all if you have worked already on offer you may very well get a sponsor type arrangement, best of luck and ejoy your travels. P.s to answer your question the ammont of money the require you to have is $3000 or a return ticket.

  2. i would take a good grand. gl

  3. COUPLE OF GRAND $US

Job offer might mean you can be sponsored and stay longer....

  4. I'd do a quick bit of research before I went as you would be suprised how dear things are to buy in the UK. You may need to have more funds available than you think.
