This is my first time going to Rui Palace in Cabo San Lucas. Me & my husband our going for our honeymoon & I am completely clueless on how much money to take down there. It is an all inclusive package, but I know we would be doing the activities & all that fun stuff....just don't want to run out of money! Also, any tips before I go???

  1. I travel to Mexico every year for 6 weeks and take enough cash ($100 USD) and leftover pesos from the previous year) to survive for a day or two.  Then I go to the nearest bank and use my Debit card and take out up to $300 (the max limit at most bank machines) in pesos (over 3000 pesos). Be sure to use a bank that has the same symbol (example INTERAC) as your debit card to avoid a $5 charge per transaction.

Take out the money as you need it.  You can stay all the time in yoir suite (its your honeyman after all :) and spend very little.

  2. Everything is included at the Riu Palace, but after some days, you will want to go out for dinner or party.

A nice dinner in a good restaurant will be between $50 to $100 USD depending in your drinks, the same for going out to a bar.

You must go in a sunset cruise to take a picture of you two with the arch in the back, they run from $40 to $90 USD per person and depending on the boat, they may include the dinner.

ATV's is also very recommended, it cost $60 per person or $80 for a double.

My guess is that you will need about $500 USD, but take your credit card to be safe, you will need it also if you want to rent a car and go for a day excursion to San Jose del Cabo, La Paz and Todos Santos.

If you want to save some extra cash, you may go to a time share presentation if you are over 30, and get over $300 USD in activities savings, and have a blast in Cabo.

    Enjoy

  3. Jessy always gives great advice.

You can have stupid fun as a couple on $100 -$150 a day, especially all inclusive.

Western Union yourself some $$$ if needed and if you need too you can always retrieve it and avoid the ATM fees. Don't use it - then just retrieve it when you get back to the states - No worries..................

Yep Mikey say stupid fun for a couple - $100-$150 a day. Ask the taxi guys and hotel staff for cheap deals on beer , transportation and whatever you want to do - they know the deals and best places. Bartenders at local bars are always a good source of cheap and fun ideas - tip him well and your golden

  4. As much as possible!!  But what I would do is deposit it in the bank and get it out as you needed it from the ATM, if you have that option.
