how much money do i need to put in a bank account in order to start one?

I want to know because i would like one so it is harder to use my money.

Generally it takes at least $100.00 to open a bank account.  However each bank is different, and will have different amounts for different levels and types of accounts.  Usually the best place is a small locally owned and operated community bank.  Good luck.

BUT CHASE HAS A FREE CHECKING ACCOUNT WITH A $25 MINIMUM TO OPEN.

any amount of money will do, but $100 is a good place to start.  That way the bank knows that you are serious
