  1. I can only tell you what I pay with 2 people in an apartment.

The following are my monthly expenses.....

I pay about $150 for my DSL, phone, electricity, gas, and Direct TV.  The landlord pays for the heat and hot water.

$10 a month for city garbage bags.

    $250-$350 per month for groceries.

Rent for my apartment is $550 per month (though I don't pay rent because my friend owns the building - if he wasn't my friend, I'd be paying the $550)

You'll want to set aside an extra $400 per month (at least) for alcohol, cell phone, car insurance, and credit card bills.

And, where you live will change the amount you pay for things.  Just so you know where I'm coming from, I live in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania - http://www.wilkes-barre.pa.us/

  2. I think that's a bit much.  Will any of the meals be eaten on campus?  Will you pack your lunch to take with you?   Does anyone cook, or will you be eating ready made food?  Many questions that  you need to take into consideration.  Ready made food cost more, oppose to buying the ingredientis to cook the food.

  3. Athletes  or   anorexic  girls ?

    vegans   or   carnivores  ?

pre-prepared  deli   or  cook  from  scratch  ?

    Soooo  Not  enough  info .

And  FYI ,  many  students  spend  nada ,  just  eat  off  the  roomates  shopping  .   .   .

They  are  too  used  to   buying  nothing  and  using  whatever  mommy  and  daddy  bring  home .

  4. That depend on who's eating the food is it for all opf you, are you cooking it your self are you eating out. Cooking at home cost less. Taking meals for lunch or eating some meals at school. I,m not in collage and me and my husband spend about 70.00 a week in food for two people. these are some things to think about.

  5. If you all pitch in and buy stuff everyone likes it will be cheaper. Top Ramen noodles is the main food everyone seems to eat in college because it is so cheap. Always buy stuff on sale. I live by myself and spend about $100 bucks a month on food. Buy stuff that won't expire quickly.

  6. i can go at $100 every two weeks, just buy stuff on sale and maybe get

a small rice cooker and one of those little george forman grills.
