How much money do people at walmart make?

hi, i was applying for a job at walmart, and i was just wondering how much do a cashier make. or a food stocker.

minimum wage.  Didnt you hear?  Walmart has been having problems paying their workers.  They dont even want to pay minimum wage.

i started out as a cashier and made 7.65

now i work in the accounting office and make 10.95

im in florida though.

Wal-Mart starts their employees  from just a little over minimum wage to a couple of dollars over minimum depending on the location and the job market. they offer better pay then most retailers and actually have a decent benefit package that provides for a reasonable price on medical insurance as well as stock options, paid time off and potential job growth. contrary to all those who like to take cheap shots at Wal-Mart they are a good employer that like any employer has managers who do stupid things sometimes. they are one of the largest employers in the US and the world so they must be doing something right.

Wal-Mart is covered by FLSA so the federal minimum wage will apply. Minimum wage for Wal-Mart is $6.55 hr

the Georgia minimum wage for businesses not covered by FLSA is $5.15 hr.
