  1. Sorry to disappoint but most start bottom rung at a radio station that is kind of away from the big city and starting pay is usually only about $8/hour US and it depends upon the hours you put in. (Most beginnings are weekend duty..meaning maybe a 10 hour week)

Most get experience as a sideline before getting into it fulltime as usually to be in radio full time means you either do multiple air shifts on different radio stations, or have some other job in the building.

Most people in radio make about $25-$30k a year in small to medium markets on the programming side. Basically the bigger bucks come in bigger markets and those require years of experience as green people don't make the air anymore for their first time on big city radio.

  2. it depends on how good you are really, usually about $25,000 a year, or sometimes $1,500 a month, but it gets more the higher up you are in the business. you need to be well known.

  3. when they start of they are on a very low wage cuz you can't just start at the top, like me a lot of people start out in radio working for FREE in a hospital radio or just geting work experiance round radio stations it takes a lot of time and effort. Radio presenters get paid a low wage when they first start off cuz you never just start at th top a local presenter wud probably be on £8000 a year and that is a well payed one at that!
