  1. $200,000 (All Blacks)

      $100,000 (Super 14)

      $50,000   (Air NZ Cup)

  2. Australian Rugby stars up to $1M a season plus endorsements, Gitteau, Stanisforth etc... several of them in Super 14.

  3. I hear you there brother but in England, France and South Africa because of the demographics they pay a whole lot more.

  4. Certainly not as much as the footballers get. Think it depends from player to player. The people who has contracts with their respective Unions, should be earning around $1M or above. Others just get paid on match by match basis.

  5. Giteau is the highest paid rugby player in Australia with a contract of $1M a season, (plus endorsements etc). I believe he's the first player to break the million dollar mark, Tuqiri isn't far behind.

Other players would be on a fair bit less than that......... maybe half

All the players get performance bonuses based on how the team performs at RWC, tri nations, S14 etc

  6. $3.87 per minute.

  7. More than they should. No one cheers me when I clock on and no one sings to me as I work. I don't have showers on the job and there are no young chicks in short dresses waving pom pom's at me when I walk through the door either.

I don't get my work clothes embroidered or given free, and I cant get my mates to sign them and put them on trade me for $4000 either. I have never had a beer company as a sponsor and a V8 Holden to carry my weary bones to and fro!

In short, I Que 4hrs to pay $35 to watch my team, pay $150 for a shirt, sing all the songs and drink $8 cans in the rain, and push my mazda half the way home in time for the replay where

I dream of a clean pair of overalls on Monday.
