How much money do teachers make?

I don't know what kind of teacher to become but I know I want to teach. I also want to teach and make money! Any teachers out there... please respond!

It depends on the level of education you are involved in (grade school, high school, junior college, college/university, the classes you are teaching and tenure once you get a postilion.  Many of our friends are teachers who are retiring...stick with it, they make more retired than they did working.   Another way to increase your salary as a teacher while working is to continue taking classes toward a Master's degree, then classes post Mater's.  You get a raise for every class you take!  Good luck!!

  4. It depends how ur state how much money you will make. All teachers k-12make the same amount. The difference is based on amount of years. Your state should have a website. If you want to make more $ you should get a masters and national Board Certified. However you can only do either after you have taught for at least 3yrs. Teachers have good benefits and you get the summer off so that balances the amount of money you make. Good luck ;)
