The FAFSA itself does not get you money. Many schools use the info tabulated from the FAFSA, particularly the EFC (expected family contribution) number, to determine what kind of financial aid packages they can offer you. This question is too tough to answer since it is all SITUATIONAL. Your best bet is to schedule campus visits with the schools you are considering and sit down with a Financial Aid Representative to talk about your options. The FAFSA merely is a guideline for financial institutions to gauge how much financial aid a student qualifies for in relation to the cost of tuition, fees, books, transportation, and room & board.  In some cases, a financial aid adviser will also recommend certain expenses that are necessary such as funds for a laptop.  The EFC (Expected Family Contribution) is the magic number which the FAFSA calculation supplies to the financial institutions.  The best way to find out is to actually submit an online FAFSA, receive the SAR (Student Aid Report), and see a financial aid advisor/officer/counselor at the school(s) you are interested in and go from there.  It is very situational based on geographical socioeconomics, and cannot be truly predicted from a generalized stance.  Good luck!
