I'm also curious to know how much money are expected to have saved to open your own SF agency.

  1. Have you tried contacting State Farm?  Opening your own SF and working and training to be employed at a SF would be two different things to budget for.  Try connecting a State Farm in your area or contacting them directly.

    Good luck!

  2. That will depend on several factors namely location and type of agency.  You first better get thru the process.  Unlike most insurance companies where about 60-70% of their agents fail to make thru 2 years, State Farm has a high success rate with their agents.  You will go thru several interiews to see if  you are even a viable candidate.  Then they will send you to agency training class for approximately 6 months (usually one week a month) so you can understand what they expect. Then you will have to interview at the end of that process for the final selection pool.  Once your in that pool of qualified candidate you will have to wait for an opening and then interview with another committee to be selected for the one agency.

If you can get thru all that, you pretty much bet your the cream of the crop.  Once selected as a TICA agent, you will have one year to meet monthly production goals.  If you can't, you will be let go....if  you do, you will have one of the most rewarding careers in your life.......good luck.......
