  1. the air force doesnt hand out enlistment bonuses and alot of people never see any type of bonus...perhaps if that is your reason for joining you should look at the army

  2. well it definitely would be a change. How much money do you get for enlisting? I didnt get any extra money.

  3. It depends on what you want to do with your life. Do you want to be in the military or are you just looking for money? if it's just about money then it's not the profession for you.

  4. I think the Air Force is a great option. I am 21 years old (female) and am currently D.E.P (it basically means I am waiting to go to book camp). I am looking forward to it. I needed a chance as well.

Good luck no matter what you choose to do!

On a personal note I HIGHLY suggest doing a lot of research on your own before you go speak with a recruiter, the more you know the less you have to fear about them "telling you what YOU want to hear"

  5. If you are talking about an enlistment bonus the answer is zero.  The AF deosn't hand out enlistment bonuses like the Army does.  There are about 11 different AFSC's that offer small enlistment bonuses.  Those jobs are things like Combat Control, Linguist, Pararescue and other critically undermanned fields.

Pay is based on Rank.  As an E-1/E-2, you would see about $500-600 every two weeks.
