  1. im not a mom yet but i remember when i lose a teeth i see my mom the tooth fairy!but she gives me when i lose a teeth $500 so i wont be upset but sometimes she gives me $200 or $100 but when i get bad i dont get  anything :(!

  2. I got a dollar. One dollar is enough.

  3. Growing up my mom the "toothfairy" lol would give me 25 cents for each tooth but my first tooth was $1.  My son recently lost 2 teeth so she left him $1 for the first tooth plus 25 cents for the second tooth just like she did with me.

  4. $1.00 my son is six and is about to lose his third tooth.

  5. When I was a child, it was 25 cents.  The tooth fairy has gotten richer over the years.  My daughter and son-in-law give $1 for each tooth.

  6. When I was little and losing teeth (15 years ago), I got 25 cents a tooth.  I would probably raise it to $1 a tooth.

  7. If your child appreciates the value of money then maybe $5, but I always think it's a good idea that the tooth fairy leaves them as much money as their age (i.e If they're 4, Give them $4).

    = )

  8. I am not a parent yet, but my mom and dad used to give me coins... like .75 cents.  But for big teeth, like the front ones, I'd get paper money... like $2 or more dollars.  Oh, and one time, my mom sprinkled glitter from the window to my bed and I scooped it up the next morning, thinking it was fairy dust.  :)

  9. my parents always did $1 for the front teeth and 2-5 for molars since they were bigger. i don't think anymore is necessary since at that age 1 dollar is a big deal.

  10. My daughter is turning 5 and will be starting to lose teeth soon... My husband and I decided $5 per tooth. Really what can $1 buy these days. I think $5 is a good amount

  11. This is a very tricky point isn't it!!??  It varies so much between kids/families that i wonder if they discuss it at school and the ones with the lesser money feel ripped off by the fairy!!  I used to get 20c but inflation and years down the track I leave $2 for my kids, but I have heard of much higher amounts.  I used to out $1 but my daughter was given a tooth keeper and (aussie money) the $1 coin won't fit so I had to up the money, lol!  With my son, no tooth keeper so we do what I did as a child...tooth under a glass beside his bed and he wakes up to find money under and tooth gone...I would say though, that now he is older I get tired...wnat to go to bed...so I set my alarm so I don't forget to take the tooth in the night, lol!  Did once!  When he wouldn't go to sleep and my daughter said he was trying to catch the fairy to keep her!  So, the next night I took the tooth, left money, and wrote a teeny tiny little note and told him if he ever tried to catch me again I'd not come anymore, lol!

  12. What the tooth fairy isnt real?! im not a parent but i have a little brother that is loosing teeth and my mom (AKA the tooth fairy) normally leaves him like 2 bucks and hes happy with that

  13. I always used to leave a pen out, and my mum would write me a note from the 'ttothfairy' in really really small writing pretending it was from the toothfairy, with a clue to where my money was. It was a weird little tradition but really good fun.

I normally got about 50p but i don't know how much that is in cents. 25?

  14. When I was little the tooth fairy left me 25 cents per tooth (that was 20 years ago).

Now my daughters get 2 Euro (I live in Europe now) per tooth. Which comes out to approximately 3 dollars.

It seems like a lot of money but, I mean what can a kid buy today with 1 dollar? 3 dollars is at least enough to get a nice treat.

The tradition my daughters follow is that they put their tooth in their little tooth fairy box (it is a really cute porcelain tooth with a pink bow). Then they put it on the window sill.

They think the tooth fairy has a radar map which lights up and tells her where in the world a kid has lost their tooth. Then she comes and takes their tooth to bring back to her castle made of teeth (she uses their tooth to expand her castle).

  15. well, I'm not a mom, but I get 1$ per tooth.

If I ever get a tooth with a filling or cap, 2$

If I get one pulled, 5$

  16. Its really interesting to know about this.

I'm an Indian and I didnt know or read anywhere about this system.

    Anyway its interesting.

  17. It always depended on which tooth I lost..the front ones were about a dollar, and the big molars were usually $2.

  18. I think that all these cheap parents and people need to get real!!!! I mean seriously a dollar? Five dollars?! Give the darn kid 100 dollars per tooth unless your cheap like the rest!!!! :)

  19. We put the tooth in the childs shoe and then there is a small note with a dollar bill attached to it.

  20. We give 1 dollar and a pack of sugarless gum
