  1. It depends on who is paying for the food. If it is the student on a tight budget with access to a kitchen ( and he or she knows how to cook ), I would venture to say that one could live on $5.00 a day or $150.00 per month.

If there is no access to a kitchen and one must eat out all the time, A student might spend an average of $4.00 per meal X 3 = $12.00 a day X 30 days = $360.00 per month

On the other hand, If the parents of the student love their growing children and care about them... ( I don't mean yours )

Then one might want to ask said parents for $12.00 per meal X 3 meals = $36.00 a day X 30 days = $1,080.00 per month.

The moral of the story?   ADOPTION IS AN OPTION!

  2. I'm in my last year of school and I still dont have this budget thing down. But I say you would spend about $50 a week on groceries, depending on your habits and if you have roommates.

$50 covers the essentials- deli meats, cheese, bread, milk, juice, water, meats, veggies, fruits, microwaveable stuff

And also you should consider coupons and look at weekly ads for savings--its REALLY helps

You should also consider an extra $20 a week if you like to eat out or if you're too lazy to cook (it happens)

  3. $400 on a average.   If you count drinks at the watering hole, then that will be different.

  4. It depends if you live alone or with a parent. It also depends on how much you eat and where you shop. I say about 50- any amount.

  5. I think around $150.
