  1. Hahaha... bunny humpers :P

Anyway, here is a pretty well though out article that breaks down some of the figures:

    http://www.dailyreckoning.com/rpt/Legend...

According to that research, hunters spend about $700 million a year in access and hunting fees that are used for wildlife conservation and preservation; plus another $300 mil in donations from private donors for the same causes.

Hunting really is beneficial to the conservation of the environment and to several other economical and social aspects of our country.

  2. Facts and Statistics on Wildlife Conservation

Hunters contribute over $14 billion to the U.S. economy each year, supporting ... The money supports wildlife management and restoration programs, habitat ...

    Here's the answer- $14 billion a year.

  3. Another good response is that the peta groups usually us the money they scam or I mean solicit to pay for lawyers and their 'dedicated' chairpersons. These fine folks spend the money to pay for more celeb's to have more fundraisers to raise more money to hire more lawyers  and get a raise for the chairpersons. Get the picture, they use the money to help themselves, not wildlife. or animals unless you call posting a peta placard on an animal shelter 'helping' animals.

Whereas the funds from sportsmen go to wildlife research, wildlife habitat and wildlife rescue.

  4. Check out the following websites and you'll be 'armed' for peta. Ducks Unlimited, Teddy Roosevelt Conservation Program, Safari Club International, and Texas Parks Wildlife conservation page.

  5. LOL! I don't have the answer but I just wanted to laugh at your BUNNY HUMPERS comment...hahahah

This is just one of many Conservation Department websites.  You will have to do a lot of research to get the exact figures, but I can tell you that NO animal rights organization has ever given a dime to conservation.  It is all in the definition of conservation, which is "wise use."  PETA has a preservation mentality, which means "no use."  Wise use entails hunting and trapping as viable means to control populations to maintain a healthy balance.

The annual amount of money given to conservation by hunters, shooters, and archers is in the billions due to the Pitmann Robertson Act.  Also, hunting licenses account for another 100 million or so dollars every year.  Now, also take into account the organizations such as Ducks Unlimited, Delta waterfowl, and Pheasants forever.  Their volunteer time and members monetary contributions create habitat that not only benefits game species, but many more non-game species including endangered species.

I hope this gives you enough information to start with.  Remember, PETA members, while well intentioned, are misled and base their arguments on emotion-not scientific fact or common sense.  The best thing to do is ignore them and stay strong in your beliefs through positive action on behalf of conservation.
