Hi, it does not work this way in Germany. First, there are different recycling systems in place. One of them is called "duales System - grüner Punkt" and on every product a customer buys, the recycling costs are paid with the good. Additionally, there are recycling requirements for the local councils who undertake the waste managment and every citizen is paying these costs per month and it depends on where you live to determine how high this is
