The president makes 400,00 a year for the rest of his life along with security from the secret service his whole life.  The vice president makes 198,600 with the same benefits.  His cabinet makes 171,900.  It was easy to find....

"A salary of $400,000, along with other benefits, is paid to the President annually."  Some of these benefits are: Free housing, food, transportation, medical care, security (secret service) for life and a pension when out of office.  The other benefits are being able to charge large fees for speeches and book contracts.  Former President Clinton and his wife have made more than $100 million after leaving office from speeches and published books.
