  1. It depends on several factors:

    1. The extent of the education... a PhD makes much more than someone with only a bachelors degree.

    2. The profession... An MD makes more than Engineer

    3. The demand for any particular profession.

However none of them make as much as Hannah Montana who has no education at all.

  2. Their are people that go to college and end up working the same jobs as people who didnt.  Although its becoming more of a "specialized" workforce.  I think their are really smart people that get short changed b/c they dont have the money to go to college or just dont want to b/c they feel like they "have to" in todays society.  There are a lot of professional people out there who went to college, graduate school, etc, etc, who are actually idiots and I could probably do a better job then them. They just have the pieces of paper that make them look good or more "qualified".  There are people who r a lot better taking a test then actually working and doing hands on work in real life.

  3. http://www.ndt-ed.org/Careers/Placement&...

That site has the US Census information on earning potential of high school grads vs. college degrees.  Over a life time, people with college degrees generally earn twice as much as people with just a high school diploma.

    http://www.educationatlas.com/value-of-h...

"Adults ages 25 to 65 who worked at any point throughout duration of the study period received average annual earnings of $35,000. Average earnings varied in amount by level of education; $18,900 for high school dropouts, $25,900 for high school graduates, $45,400 for college graduates, and $99,300 for persons possessing a professional degree (J.D, M.D., D.V.M., or D.D.S). Evidence suggests that each consecutive higher education level a person receives is directly related to increase in earnings."

  4. with just a high school diploma around 23000 a year but to make really good money today, you have to have at least a bachelors degree and it depends what career you want.

  5. if you become a teachers asst, about $10/hr.  if you become a special ed asst...about $15/hr.  if you become an elementary teacher, about 35k to 40k.  special education teacher about 50k to 60k.

  6. anywhere from 0-100000000000000000000000000000000

  7. depends on the job

  8. The problem with equating money with a degree is that even though you get a degree, you do not necessarily get a job.

Out of 20 teenagers in 9th grade now, 6 (30%) will not graduate, 6 will go directly to work, 8 will go to 2/4 year college, 4 will drop out of college, 4 (5%) will graduate college. Out of those four, 2 will be in a high skilled occupation and 2 will be underemployed.

Then data indicates out of high school graduates 81% plan to attend 2/4 year college, 62% actually attend, 40% drop out, and of those that earn a Bachelor's degree 1 in 2 is underemployed (20%). That means not earning up to the potential of the degree. Data also shows students with 2 year degrees often earn more than 4 year students, and many of those with technical certificates with specific training earn significant amounts.

For example our local cosmetology graduates have the potential of $100,000 within five years due to our location and the demand for the services. One of our high schoolers dropped out, took the GED, and went to the community college and just graduated at the first of May. She is already earning $40,000 at a spa.

Two-year RN programs promise good pay with a job that cannot be outsourced to another country. Two-year mechanical engineering offers more chances at a job. Companies only want to pay the salary of one major engineer, and the work is done by highly paid designers.

A technical certificate in plumbing or electrical can earn big bucks, too.

So, it's not about a degree at all - look at Bill Gates. It's about drive, creativity, and entrepreneurship. What can you do that cannot be outsourced?

After all the average length at any one job today is 18 months. However, that data is skewed because it takes in fast foods and teenagers' jobs.

Chances are young people entering the workforce today will change CAREERS (as opposed to those little pocket-money jobs) at least four or five times in their working years. These jobs will not be related. Highly specialized training is where the demand will be met, and that training will be presented in the work place.

  9. depends really but usually like 5780 dollars an hour
