Well if you just want a good saddle to trail ride or around the ranch. You want one that fits your horse , and you. Make sure they weight around 30 pounds. Any thing to light probably has cardboard in it and after 15 or so rides will start coming apart. You can get a well made new saddle for about 500, or used ones off e-bay for even less.

It depends on brand, location, horse size, person size, etc. I paid $500 for my saddle, and it was fine. I have also know people who have paid upwards of $1500 for their saddles. As long as it fits your horse well and you are comfortable, it could be $50. I wouldn't suggest buying a cheap saddle, though. A mid-range saddle (in Pennsylvania) is around $750. I would try to stick around there.

I would never suggest a cheap saddle, you would be better off to get a used saddle of a good make so you and your horse will be comfortable and it will last forever if you take care of it.  I just sold my Crates a few months ago for $550, it was in great condition and the guy that bought it is very happy with it, at first he thought he wanted a lighter weight saddle, but when he sat in it, it was sold.

Ebay has a lot of good western saddles for not that much! Try looking there. A good price could be from $250-??? but dont spend thousands on a saddle!Hope I could help!

Just a Western Saddle?

Um you can fine a good use one for about eh $250 to $550

and new ones around $640 to $890

I really dont no what kind of western saddle you are looking for..

And If you get a Barrel Saddle

That depends upon what type of saddle you're looking for, if you want it new or used (Used is quite a bit cheaper) and if you want it custom made (If it's new) or if you want factory made.

You can find some nice either factory or custom made saddles on ebay, but you need someone who knows saddles and sizing as well as the worth of a saddle when you're bidding on one.  I've bought several and haven't been sorry.

Depending upon what you want in a good saddle, you can spend $400-$500 on up to several thousands.
